What is data?
Those are facts and figure that make up the information about me
What are the two types of data?
Personal data (information that can help identify me) and Special category data (All informations related to health, biometrics, ethnicity ideologies, …)
What are your rights concerning your data?
-Informed: about collection, use and processing my data
-Access my data (receive a copy)
-Modify inaccurate or incomplete data
-Erase certain informations under certain circumstances
-Restrict processing of it (info can be stored but not used)
-Portability (obtain my data or have it sent to another organisation of my choice)
-Object it to be used under certain circumstances
-Control automated decision making and profiling
What are the 6 lawful case for gathering data?
-After consent
-For a contract signing
-Legal obligation (data necessary to comply with the law)
-Vital interest (to protect someone’s life)
-For public interest task
-For a legitimate interest
What to do in case of a Data breach
-Identify the severity
-Inform the individuals involved
-Report to the autority if severe enough. If not document the reasoning
-Investigate on the cause of the breach internally
