What is M9 paper and what are the characteristics?
It will show a chemical agent has been detected and takes 10s to activate.
What type of firemain system do we have?
8” vertical offset loop.
What fitting separate the firemain loop?
2 Zebra fitting separate firemain into two separate loops for battle operations.
What are the different mobile damage control equipment on board?
P-100, 15lb CO2 bottle, AFFF, PKP, Ramfan, Box fan, Derbyshire portable eductor, S-type portable eductor, and Perijet portable eductor.
Characteristics of P-100?
Portable firefighting and dewatering firepump, fueled by JP-5. Rated for 100GPM@83 PSI. Four onboard, one for each repair locker as well as one in the boat deck.
Characteristics of 15lb CO2 bottle?
Holds 15lbs of CO2 and weighs approx. 45lbs. 4-6 ft effective range, lasts for 40s.
Characteristics of AFFF?
2.5 gal of AFFF concentrate, mixed with 94% seawater and pressurized at 100 PSI. Range is 15 ft and decreasing, for 55 to 65 seconds of use. Weighs about 28lbs.
Characteristics of PKP?
The 18lb bottle has a range of 19 ft and lasts 10 seconds. The 27lb bottle has a range of 21 feet and lasts 11 seconds.
Characteristics of Ramfan?
Rated for 3200 CFM, powered by 115V.
What are the 4 types of patches?
Soft patch, Jubilee patch, Emergency Water Activated Repair Patch (EWARP), and Banding patch.
