Fitzgerald builds her up to be innocent , pure and representing light.
But she is the opposite.

Shirts represent wealth / glamour.
When she bows her head into them and cries she’s showing her interest in materialism.
She doesn’t cry due to them being reunited she cries as he brings her satisfaction in wealth

She doesn’t see myrtles death as anything big as she wasn’t from Same social status
