Describe step by step: Steep Turns

A

Complete “Pre-Maneuver Checklist”
Be at or above 2500 AGL
Airspeed 90KTs
Find a point of reference then set that heading
Conduct a right turn add back pressure and RPMs (200 to 300) around 20 degrees
Bank at a 45 degrees
Roll out and reduce power at initial heading
Conduct left turn adding back pressure and RPMs (200 to 300) around 30 degrees
Bank at a 45 degrees
Roll out and reduce power at initial heading
Once done complete “Cruise Checklist”

Describe step by step: Slow Flight

A

Complete “Pre-Maneuver Checklist”
Be at or above 2500 AGL
Reduce power to 1500, then extend flaps to T/O position
Once below 78 KIAS , then extend flaps to LDG position
Continue to slow down to 60 KIAS once there add power back to 2000 RPMs
Trim off back pressure

A

Add full power
Retract flaps to T/O position
At 70 KIAS retract flaps to cruise position
Reach 90 KIAS reduce power back to 2000 RPMs
Trim off back pressure
Once done complete “Cruise Checklist”

Describe step by step: Power-on Stalls

A

Complete “Pre-Maneuver Checklist”
Be at or above 2500 AGL
Power back to 1500 RPMs
Extend flaps to T/O position
Slow to VR/Rotation 44 KIAS
Once at 44 KIAS full power and gradually nose up to induce stall
Apply right rudder
Call out cues of stall

A

Once stalled reduce back pressure
Set full power
Wings level
Establish climb at VX 58 KIAS
Verify positive climb then climb out at VY 68 KIAS
Retract flaps to cruise position
Once done complete “Cruise Checklist”

A

Be at or above 2500 AGL
Power back to 1500 RPMs
Extend flaps to T/O position
Once below 78 KIAS extend flaps to LDG position
Descend at 65 KIAS, once established reduce power to idle
Pitch nose up to induce stall
Call out cues of stall

Find a reference road and ditch point
Establish a downwind entry point
Enter downwind at 90 KIAS
Bank harder with tailwind reduce angle slowly
At half way point keep the wing on the road
Go wings level when parallel with road
Bank less with headwind increase angle slowly

A

Complete “Pre-Maneuver Checklist”
Be at 1000 AGL
Find a reference point and ditch point
Establish a downwind entry point
Enter downwind at 90 KIAS

Maintain 1/4 or 1/2 from reference point
Bank less with headwind increase angle slowly
Maintain 1/4 or 1/2 from reference point
Exit on the downwind/entry point
