Discrete Data
Data that is counted.
For example, the number of days you walk to college in a week
Continuous Data
Data that is measured.
For example, the time it takes you to walk to college
Qualitative Data
Non-numerical tat describes a quality.
For example, a brick manufacturer might describe a brick by its colour or roughness
Quantitative Data
Numerical Data.
For example, the brick manufacturer might describe bricks by their mass or the number of bricks needed to build a house.
Primary Data
Data that comes directly from first hand experience.
For example, data collected through direct surveys, observations, or interviews with the subjects of the data.
(Expensive and time consuming)
Secondary Data
Data that already exists or has been processed.
For example, data from the office for national statistics.
(Cheap and easy to obtain but might be outdated/unknown source->bias)
Independent Variable
What you change.
Dependent Variable
What you measure.
