What is Eid? (4)

A

Eid in Arabic means festival. There are many in Islam. Eid-ul-adha and Eid-ul-fitr are the main two. Eid-ul-adha is the one that happens at the end of the Hajj to celebrate when Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice Ishmael. Eid-ul-fitr marks the end of Ramadan. It was started by Muhammad and you give thanks to God for the Qur’an.

What are the features of a mosque? (4)

A

The main room is the prayer hall. In the direction of the Kah’bah is one of the walls and it is called the Qiblah. There are many mosques that feature a tower or a Minaret. The Muezzin calls people to prayer 5 times a day via the Minaret. The call to prayer is called the Adhan.
