What does it mean to say God is both transcendent and immanent?
God is beyond everything, but He is also closely involved with humans and the world.
What is Shirk?
Shirk includes representing God in art or believing that other gods exist. This is why only abstract art is permitted in mosques.
What are angels?
Angels are God’s servants and communicate His will.
What do angels do?
They bring God’s message to humans, especially when they pray.
List 3 facts about angels.
- They cannot usually be seen; they can only be sensed.
- They are neither male nor female but can take on human form.
- They look after humans and are felt as love and peace.
Name 3 angels and what their job is.
- Jibril (Gabriel) is the chief angel who delivers messages to the prophets.
- Mikail (Michael) looks after heaven.
- Israfil sounds the last trumpet at the Last Judgement.
How are angels different from humans?

- Angels do not have free will.
- Angels were created at the beginning of time.
How is Shaitan (Satan) different from the other angels?
