Cyclical Unemployment plus intro and conclusion Flashcards
What’s the introduction for causes of inequalities
Social Inequalities is a problem that has an effect on most countries worldwide. One of the most unequal civilisations in Europe is the UK, because as the years go by the cost of living is increasing and the rich are earning more money whereas those born into poverty or lower income might find it difficult to afford necessities. This essay will examine four different causes of inequality, Cyclical Unemployment, Structural Unemployment, Low Pay and Inherited Wealth. It can be said that Low Pay is one of the most problematic social inequality in the UK.
What’s the conclusion of causes of social inequalities
In conclusion the inequality that worsens the pay gap between rich and poorer people is low pay. Low pay is an ongoing problem across the UK that is still happening and it makes people who live in poverty stay in poverty even if they have jobs.
What is cyclical unemployment
Cyclical Unemployment is when demand for products and services fall over something they cannot control for example pandemics.
What is a recession
Typically when demand falls businesses close because the business is no longer attracting customers/busy which means they cannot provide/supply jobs, this is called a recession.
What is an example of a recession
An example of recession would be the Covid pandemic where demand fell across the uk which lead to over 825,000 people losing their jobs in 2020 which shows that recessions can cause unemployment.
Analysis of recession and cyclical unemployment
This shows that inequality is going to/becoming worse as rich people are less likely to struggle during a recession since they are more likely to have savings plus they are less likely to lose their job where as poorer people are more likely to struggle during cyclical unemployment since they are more likely to lose their jobs since they are replaceable.
Evalulation of cyclical unemployment
Cyclical Unemployment tends to be a major factor during the time period but it usually tends to decrease after a certain while meaning it gets better over time, it also affects everyone during the time period cyclical unemployment is happening however cyclical unemployments occasionally happens and it isn’t a consistent thing so it tends to be less important over time.
