2
Q

burial and compaction (and erosion) (carbon cycle)

A

CO2 is eroded into water and dissolves, later compacting to form limestone

Q

geologic uplift

A

phosphorus that was eroded, dissolved, and compacted into rock is uplifted, causing it to be available to the cycle again. It is added to the soil, where it can then be absorbed by plants and thus incorporated into the cycle.
