30 days from date written
When do schedule III-V drugs, (controls) such as diazepam expire?
They expire 6 months after being written.
When do schedule VI non-control prescription medications (Nexium) expire?
These expire 1 year from the date written
How can you find out the last digit of a DEA #?
Add the 1st, 3rd, and 5th digits plus 2X the sum of the 2nd, 4th and 6th (the use the SECOND number, so for “56” use “6” not 5)
(Example AB123456? ? = 1+3+5=9 2+4+6=12X2=24 9+24=33
