district employee that staffs the communication/dispatch office, responsible for answering the phones, monitoring the radios, obtaining and dispatching crews when there is a call, greeting visitors, and monitoring deliveries to the building
ALS
advanced life support, level of care that includes IV’s, drugs, and defibrillation
BLS
basic life support, level of care we’ll be trained to provide
