Ischemic stroke
Def: S/S: plateaus ?
Sudden loss of function resulting from disruption of blood flow to a part of the brain
Numbers/ weakness of face, arm, leg especially on one side of the body, trouble speaking, trouble walking, confusion
Plateaus at 6 months
Hemorrhagic stroke
Def: S/S: plateaus:
Caused by bleeding into the brain tissue, ventricles or subarachnoid space
Exploding headache
Decrease LOC
Plateaus at 18 months
