Curvuits Section 3 Flashcards

1
Q

Current sources

A

Electrical component that provides a constant current output, regardless of the voltage across it. Sets the current in circuit, allowing voltage to adjust according to load. Represented by a circle with an arrow indicating the direction of flow.

Q

What is a load current

A

Amount of electrical current that is passed from a power supply to the device/ component receiving power. Calculating it, I= V/ R. The term ‘load’ refers to the device or system that is using the power (motor, light bulb, heater). Current: flow of electric charge.
