What are conductors??
Substances that don’t let electric currents go through them What are insulators?

What is electric current??
A flow of electric charge
What is a closed circuit needed for?
For the current to flow, if there is a break in the circuit the current won’t flow
What provides energy?
A battery or power pack is needed to move the current around the circuit.
What does a battery do?
Pumps electrons from its negative end around the circuit.
What do electrons do?
Get attracted back to the positive end of the battery.
What is potential difference/ voltage?
The difference in electrical pressure between the positive and negative ends of a battery/power pack.
What happens when there is potential difference/voltage?
Electricity will flow.
What is potential difference/voltage measured?
Volts.
What is resistance?
The opposition to the flow of electrons. The unit is the ohm ( ) and its measured using an ohmmeter.
What is a resistor?
If placed in an electric circuit, it will slow down the flow of electrons.
What does ohms law state?
Voltage is directly proportional to the current
