enduring relationships that provides foundation for patterned interaction
Status/role
place in social structure, rights and responsibilities in each status
Ascribed status
status that you are born with, merges over time and you have no control over.
achieved status
something you have control over.
Egalitarian, Stratified society
everyone works towards something, access to equal resources. (Stratified; diff roles, age, the more say you have).
Hegemony
notions of the person imply ethnicity/race, class, gender, sexuality, ability
Socialization and Enculturation
the process through which individuals become competent members.
Personality
the relative integration of an individual. Perceptions , motives, cognitions, and behavior within a sociocultural matrix
