Too short = misunderstood, deletion, distortion, condensation
Too long = distortion, exaggeration, hi-jacking

1 = predetermination of the interpreting process - patient preparation, confidentiality, purpose o f interpreter 2 = final preparation + briefing session with interpreter - for building rapport + discussing purpose of interview 3 = interview - sitting arrangement, address patients, on-verbal communication, monitor for inaccuracies 4 = de-brief - clarify issues or suspected errors, learn cultural meanings
