A

Strange Situation Study (Ainsworth (1970))
* Labelled attachment with moderate distress when left alone as ‘secure’ attachment.
* This was the attachment style that most babies were raised in western culture.
* When this was replicated in other countries were the attachment labels were kept despite clear cultural differences affecting attachment.
* This devaules parenting styles in other cultures.
