What did Kennedy do?
A
Kennedy set up a naval blockade to prevent missiles reaching Cuba. However, Krushchev told Kennedy his ships would ignore the blockade.

What happened after 13 days of secret negotiations?
A
The Soviet Union agreed to remove the missiles as long as the United States never invaded Cuba. In secret, the US also had to agree to remove their nuclear missiles from Turkey and Italy
