css Network Topology Flashcards
used to denote the arrangement of the
network devices in a computer network.
Network Topology
designed with each node (like workstations, printers, laptops, servers etc.)
connected directly to a central device called as a network switch.
Star Topology
all devices in the network are connected via a cable that loops in a logical
ring or circle.
Ring Topology
consists of a main run of cable with a terminator at each end.
Bus Topology
is a network setup where each computer and network device is interconnected
with one another.
Mesh Topology
each device on the network is connected together, creating connections between
all device on the network.
FULL MESH TOPOLOGY
all devices are not connected to each other
Partial Mesh Topology
a wireless topology used in bigger networks
Infrastructure Wireless Topology
devices are connected
without using any additional network infrastructure devices like
a wireless Access Point (AP).t
Ad Hoc wireless topology
wireless devices are meshed
together for redundancy.
