It does not

it does not affect where it is on the page at all, but it affects where the other elements get placed
How does setting position: absolute on an element affect document flow?
it no longer has a place in document flow
How does setting position: absolute on an element affect where it appears on the page?
it goes through each of its parent elements until it finds a parent element that is not static.
How do you constrain an absolutely positioned element to a containing block?
set the parent to relative

top, right, bottom, left

What does the term “source order” mean with respect to CSS?
in what order the code is written in the file.
How is it possible for the styles of an element to be applied to its children as well without an additional CSS rule?
if it is an inherited property

Why is using !important considered bad practice?
It makes debugging more difficult by breaking the natural cascading in your stylesheets
What does the transform property do?
it allows a few different ways to adjust the element.

you can use the remove method

What is the advantage of using a percentage (e.g. 50%) width instead of a fixed (e.g. px) width for a “column” class in a responsive layout?
the percentage changes with the window size while the fixed value stays as it is
If you introduce CSS rules for a smaller min-width after the styles for a larger min-width in your style sheet, the CSS rules for the smaller min-width will “win”. Why is that?
