how can you make pure dry crystals of metal chloride from an insoluble base and a dilute acid

A

PASFESPU
• place hydrochloric acid in a beaker and heat with bunsen burner
• add insoluble base slowly to make aqueous solution
• stop when excess can be seen
• filter to leave dissolved metal chloride
• evaporate some water by gently heating solution
• stop heating when small crystals appear
• place in evaporating basin to crystallise for 48 hours
• use towel to dry excess
