Kerchoff’s Principle
A
The key is the secret and the algorithm is known
system must be indecipherable
must not be required to be secret. must be able to fall into enemy hands without inconvenience
key must be communicable and retainable whiteout help of written notes and changeable at will
must be applicable to telegraphic correspondence
must be portable, not require concourse of multiple people
needs to be easy to use
