Critical illness pays out a lump sum on diagnosis or if someone undergoes surgery. For how many days do you need to survive after diagnosis?

No, after one claim the policy ceases.
What is additional critical illness benefit and what illnesses does this cover ?
Less advanced cancer of the breast
Less advanced cancer of the prostate
Aviva will pay the lower of £30,000 or 25% of the cover amount.
Children’s benefit- what age does this cover ?
Children are covered from 30 days old til there 18th birthday ( or 21st birthday if in full time education ) .
How many claims can you make for your child ?
One claim per child. Once accepted the policy will continue for the policy holder but not for the child.
What would the payout be for child diagnosed with a critical illness ?
The lower of £25,000 or 50% of the cover amount.
What’s the cover limit if a child dies during the policy term
£5000
What is Extra Care Cover ?
( ECC)
During the policy term ( have to be under the age of 55), when meet Aviva definition for dementia, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, kidney failure, liver or respiratory failure.
Pay extra £50,000 on top of any other payout.
What is the hospital benefit for children?
Will be paid if child is in hospital for more than 7 consecutive nights.
Max £100 a night from the eighth night stay onwards for a maximum of 30 nights.

Essentially a sweep up policy.
