- Providing link to pt’s personal life
- Advising pt in decisions or functioning as decision maker pag di kaya ng pt
- Helping with ADLs
- providing support
Major needs of families include?
Informational, reassurance, convenience
Who are critical care pts?
- physiologically unstable
- at risk for srs complications
- acutely ill
