An agreement between Spain and Portugal that Spain got all the land to the west of a line drawn down the Atlantic and Portugal got the land to the east.

He found a large amount of gold on the island of Hispaniola.

He was sent back in chains because of a quarrel with the governor of Hispaniola sent by the king and queen of Spain

He warned the governor of a hurricane but the governor didn’t listen. Twenty four ships were lost thanks to this. Columbus regarded his fourth voyage as his greatest

He was born in 1451. He died in 1506
