A
- One impact of crime on the perpetrator is it can reduce your chances of getting a job.
This is when employers will not employ criminals as they can see them as being unsafe and not trust them.
For example 7/10 employers said they could not employ a criminal - Another impact of crime on the perpetrator is it can reduce there chance of going abroad
This is when some countries do not allow a person into there country if they have a criminal record
For example Australia and the USA will refuse criminals from entering there country.

2 ways the government have tackled crime
A
- One way the government has tackled crime is the violence reduction unit.
This is a multi- agency approach to gang violence funded by the scottish goverment. For example paramedics, police officers, former offenders and relatives of those killed in gang violence speak to young people to educate them about the consequence - Another way the government has tackled crime is by funding prevention and early intervention programmes such as No Knives Better Lives. This is a youth programme that councils, police and youth groups to deliver a range of activites and events to get the message across to young people about the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.
For example 18 of the 32 local authority areas are involved in the initative.

- one social factor which causes crime in the uk is peer pressure.
This is when young people are influenced by their friends and therefore may commit crimes they do not want to in order to fit in.
For example someone may take part in underage drinking as they do not want to be made fun of and excluded from the group - Another social factor which causes crime in the uk is alcohol.
This is when crimes such as assault, violence and breach of the peace are often caused by alcohol.
For example 70% of those accused of murder were drunk when it happened
