-the people of Crete favored him
-exiled by Minos
Androgeos
-Minos’ son, sent to kill the Marathon Bull
-the bull killed him
-Minos went to Athens to take revenge King Nisos
-seduces his daughter (nymph named Scylla)
- uses her to cut her dad’s hair and conquer the city
Scylla
-nymph that aided Minos
-Minos betrays her
-dies and is turned into an egret
-forever chased by her father who had turned into a sea eagle
Glaucus
-younger son of Minos
-oracle Polyeidus is tasked to find him
-is found drowned in a barrel of honey in the wine-cellar
-is resurrected by a herb brought by a snake
-is taught prophecy by Polyeidus but forgets after spitting in Poleyeidus’ mouth
Daedalus
-invented carpentry, the axe, plumbing pipes, glue, and drills
- kills nephew Perdix and takes credit for the saw
-flees Athens to Crete
Poseidon
Angry that Minos didn’t sacrifice the right bull, tasks Aphrodite to curse Pasiphae
Minotaur
-curse causes Paiphae to lust for the Bull
-Daedalus builds wooden cow to help her mate with the bull
-Pasiphae gives birth to the Minotaur
Labyrinth
-Minos makes Daedalus build maze to contain Minotaur
-every 9 years, 7 sons and 7 daughters from Athens are sacrificed
-Minos locks Daedalus and his son Icarus in the highest tower in Crete
Icarus
-Daedalus crafts wings of wax and feathers for him and his son to escape
- during the escape, Icarus flies to high and his wings melt causing him to fall and drown
Minos Death
-Daedulas escapes to Sicily and hides
-Minos looks for him, carrying a puzzle for him
-Minos finds out Daedalus is there after the King solves the puzzle (Daedalus did it)
-King convinces Minos to bathe before he sees Daedalus
-Daedalus poors boioling water on Minos and kills him
