name 4 points to talk about.a “authority” heading for credibility of an article
1.Who is the author?-are they well known/reputable in what they writing about
- What are the authors credentials- are they known s afield expert ( research databases -see if well cited /published in the area)
- Have other authors cited them
- Who is their publisher - are they reputable site eg health bodies/government agencies/cochrane reviews etc
Name 6 areas to discuss when analysing credibility of a source under “accuracy heading “
1.Can the information be verified at other sites/sources

- Are they trying to sell a product or service ( not s good thing would be neutral to the product-no gain )
- Do other authors agree with the results
2 points to place under “currency “of the article for credibly /reliabilty of articles/research
1.When was it published - is it the right data for your information (do you want current or old information )
2.How old is the cited information
4 points to place under “content” of the article for credibly /reliabilty of articles/research
