Q

What disciplinary measures can CREC presbyteries or the Council take?

A
  1. Referral - local church session or member of the Session or Presbytery asking a broader court to accept jursidication in a matter normally decided by the more local assembly.
  2. Appeal - someone who is/was a member of a CREC church, against whom a formal action has been taken requests to move jurisdiction to another assembly.
  3. Complaint - request for a judicial decision to be made against a current CREC individual member or assembly because: 1) the assembly refused to hear, 2) refused to take action, 3) the assembly is a party charged, or 4) the complaint is from outside the CREC.
