Various Christian beliefs about creation:
A
- God pre-existed the world, hence being able to create it
- God is transcendent, as such He created the world and is not controlled by it
- All parts of the Trinity were involved in creation, so must have pre-existed it
- Created through Gods word ‘Let there be light’

A
Genesis describes the creation: 1:1: ‘In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth.’

A
John 1:1-3 opens with ‘In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made’.

‘The word became flesh and lived for a while amongst us’.
- Second person of the trinity being referred to as both the word and the son of God. God and Jesus are one

- third person, the Holy Spirit. So God, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE
