- The death will be raised to life because of he teachings of Jesus, he overcame death himself.

- God will resurrect them before judgement day
- Jesus told people the new mode of existence would be diff. from earthly one
- On earth it is perishable and raised imperishable

A state between death and the afterlife. Soul goes to purgatory if it is destined for heaven, where it is purified enough to go
