creating and editing circuits and adjusting circuit properties. Flashcards
What is the requirement for devices to be on the same circuit ?
The must operate at same voltage and have the same # of poles
How do you get to the distribution settings ?
systems ribbon and in the electrical panel will click the dialog box launcher
What do the distribution settings express
the difference parings of single phase and double phase voltage allowed in the project.
What are the attributes of each distribution listed item ?
Name , phase configuration number of wires and lowest to highest possible voltages
When you open the distribution settings of a project you will see that the voltage named 120/240 single does not have a configuration, while the other voltage do why is that ?
the 120-240 V listed item represents one phase and 2 phase in both cases these voltages are treated as 2 power sources and their offset frequencies are not utilized for any purpose.
What element must a piece of equipment have to be placed in a circuit ?
It must have an electrical connector
How are voltages chosen for the listed distribution items ?
they must be defined in the voltage definitions were the name, value and max and min voltages are made apparent and can be added to.
How do you begin a circuit?
click the equipment you want to place on the circuit you should see the modify flag go up where the option for power can seen click it to start the circuit
how do you add equipment to a circuit ?
select piece of equipment already in a circuit then go to the modify option and select edit circuit, once their click the add to circuit button and select equipment that you want to place on the circuit.
At what point will revit warn you about the number of equipment in the circuti
When the load of the circuit excedes 80% of the defined rating
How is the defined rating defined?
when make a circuit in the properties section the ratings will be shown
how do you select a panel for a circuit ?
While in the edit circuit ribbon their should be a dropdown section for selecting panels, you can choose the panel from there .
in Revit can you circuit panels to other panels ?
yes
when you have circuits between two panels you are able to control connection type. what are the options ?
breakers, or feed through lugs
