How do you load electrical equipment into a project?
(should be three steps)

A

switch to the insert ribbon and in the load from library panel click Load Family

click load family

go into the folder that contains the specific family you want to insert an click enter

A

A surface mounted element is able to be placed on a wall or some surface, a recess mounted device is required to be placed in a wall or surface.

A

a link will be placed between the equipment and the place the equipment is placed on which will act as the host. You can use the host parameter to input the distance from the host you want your object to be placed at.

yes, it can be placed in a host it does not have to be

equipment in host families need to be hosted on the plans while equipment in non-host families can still be hosted but are able to be placed in the plans even if not hosted
