    General Sensory - stuff in ear
    Special Sensory - For taste from the anterior two-thirds of the tongue and the hard and soft palates
    Synapsing Ganglia - Pterygoplatine ganglia AND Submandibular ganglia

    General sensory - Provides general sensation from the posterior one-third of the tongue, the skin of the external ear, and the internal surface of the tympanic membrane
    Special sensory - For taste from the posterior one-third of the tongue
