Sensory: touch, pain (sensation) to skin of face, mucous membrane, mouth
Motor: Voluntary–mm. of mastication
Test: face sensation, clench teeth

Test: close eyes, smile, puff cheeks, familiar tastes

VESTIBULOCOCHLEAR Sensory: hearing (ear), balance (ear) Motor: x Test: hearing, balance coordination Pathway: internal acoustic meatus

GLOSSOPHARYNGEAL
Sensory: touch (sensation), taste of post. 1/3 tongue
Motor: Voluntary–pharynx mm, Autonomic–parotid gland
Test: gag reflex, swallowing
Pathway: jugular foramen

VAGUS
Sensory: touch (sensation) of pharynx, larynx, bronchi, taste of tongue, epiglottis
Motor: Voluntary–palate, pharynx, larynx, Autonomic–thoracic and abdominal viscera
Test: Gag reflex, ability to swallow, say AHHH
Pathway: jugular foramen
