Oculomotor nerve- motor: eye muscles to open eye

Trochlear nerve- motor: eye muscles
CN V
Trigeminal nerve- sensory: skin of face, nasal cavity, oral cavity, anterior 2/3 of tongue
CN VI
Abducens nerve- motor: eye muscles
CN VII
Facial nerve- sensory: taste (anterior 2/3 of tongue)
Motor: facial muscles, lacrimal (tear) glands
CN VIII
Vestibulocochlear nerve- sensory: hearing and balance in ear (vestibular system)
CN IX
Glossopharyngeal nerve- sensory: pharynx, tast 1/3 posterior of tongue
Motor: throat muscles
CN X
Vagus nerve- sensory: viscera of respiratory tract, taste of epiglottis
Motor: muscles of palate, heart and other viscera
CN XI
Accessory nerve- motor to sternocleidomastoid and trapezius
CN XII
hypoglossal nerve- motor to intrinsic muscles of tongue and throat.
CN I deficit
loss of smell
CN II deficit
Dilated pupil, vision problems
CN III deficit
Dilated pupil, eye turns down and out
CN IV deficit
Unable to lowk down when eye is abducted
CN V deficit
Loss of muscles of mastication on the side of lesion/ deficit
CN VI deficit
unable to move eye laterally
CN VII deficit
unable to wrinkle forehead, loss of taste on anterior 2/3 of tongue
CN VIII deficit
Unilateral hearing loss
CN IX deficit
Loss of taste on posterior 1/3 of tongue
CN X deficit
deviation of uvula away from affected side
CN XI deficit
Paralysis of sternocleidomastiod and trapezius
CN XII deficit
tongue deviates towards affected side
