Origin: ilium-rectus femoris, proximal femur- other heads

Insertion: tibial tuberosity

Action: extend the stifle joint, flex the hip joint-only the rectus femoris

Iliopsoas m.

Answer 2

Origin: ilium and lumbar vertebrae

Insertion: lesser trochanter of femur

Action: flex the hip joint; rotate the limb laterally
