Before any hearing starts, the Commission must announce the date, location, and topic in the Federal Register at least 30 days in advance. The person leading the hearing, either the Chairman or someone chosen by them, will explain the subject at the beginning of the hearing.

Everyone should have the same opportunities and benefits.

Employers can’t refuse to hire, fire, or treat employees differently because of race, religion, gender, or where they come from.
