Actions of steroids
A
- decreasing circulating T/B cells, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils
- increase neutrophils by decreasing extravasation & increased prdn
- decrease size & lymphoid content of lymph nodes
- increase macrophage efferocytosis, resolution of inflammation
- decrease type IV delayed hypersensitivity
- more effects on cellular than humoral immunity
