Explain Section 13 of the Coroners Act 2006:

A

Section 13: Deaths that MUST be reported to the Coroner:

S- suicide

C- cause unknown or no doctors cert. issued

U- unnatural or violent

M- medical, surgical or dental procedures incl. anaesthic

B- birth deaths that appear to be result of pregnancy or giving birth

I- intitutional deaths, prison, psychiatric, police custody

E- enactment ie. drug & alcohol, child and young persons, shipping and seaman act
