A
- To find out what was established (the info provided in the 7 docs)
- To make comments or recommendations to prevent similar deaths
- Determine public interest in an investigation into the death

Who can be present?
A
Who = a pathologist as directed by the coroner What = an examination of the body Why = to determine the cause of death
The Coroner decides who can be present. NOK can decline an examination (for some deaths)

Immediately, by phoning the NIIO (Coroners national initial investigation office)
