A

Making a simple copy denture

A

A. Cast model from current denture
-model formed on denture using silicone putty
-can be used to provide model on which special trays can be made
B. Use alma gauge to form registration rims

Making a complex copy denture

A
  1. Make negative of dentures in alginate flask
  2. Template in wax and acrylic
  3. Make any adjustments to face height and send to lab in registered position
  4. Mount, remove wax teeth and replace with acrylic teeth
  5. Try in and reline impressions
  6. Process and finish
  7. Placement and check record

  1. Try in and reline impressions
A

If try-in satisfactory, imp is taken in fitting surface of template and denture processed
Small > in face height can be expected and is often desirable
-if unwanted, can be compensated for at try-in by < face height slightly
