Bake
Cook food by dry heat without direct exposure to a flame (typically in an oven)
Beat
To stir rapidly by hand or with a mixer

Cutting food into small cubed shaped pieces

A technique used to gently combine a light airy ingredient with a heavy one

Remove the outer covering or skin from fruit or vegetable
Poach
cooking food fully submerged in liquid

Fry quickly in a little hot fat
Sear
Technique used in grilling, baking, roasting which the surface of the food is cooked at high temp until brown crust forms
Shred
To scrape food across or through a shredding surface to make strips
Sift
Put a fine or loose substance through a sieve to remove lumps or large particles
Steam
Cook food by heating it in steam from boiling water
Stew
A dish of meat and vegies slowly cooked in a liquid
