Q

What is RNA?

A

Ribonucleic acid is a polymeric molecule essential in various biological roles in coding, decoding, regulation and expression of genes. Like DNA, RNA is assembled as a chain of nucleotides, but unlike DNA, RNA is found in nature as a single strand folded onto itself, rather than a paired double double strand. Cellular organisms use messenger RNA (mRNA) to convey genetic information (G, U, A and C) that directs synthesis of specific proteins. Many viruses encode their genetic information using an RNA genome.

Q

What is CRISPR gene editing?

A

it is a genetic engineering technique in molecular biology by which the genomes of living organisms can be modified. The cell’s genome can be cut at a desired location, allowing existing genes to be removed and/or new ones added in vivo (in living organisms).
