What does “Flashback” mean?
When the actors show something that has previous happened
What does “Flashforward” mean?
When the actors show something that has not yet happened
What does “Freeze Frame” mean?
When the actors use their bodies to make a picture and hold it
What does “Mime” mean?
The acting becomes silent
What does “Monologue” mean?
One actor speaks for an extended amount of time
What does “Movement” mean?
Part of the action is almost danced
What does “Slow Motion” mean?
A section is slowed down dramatically
What does “Narration” mean?
A person is on stage telling the story as it happens
What does “Voice Over” mean?
A voice from offstage is heard
What does “Aside” mean?
A character says something to his/herself and the rest of the characters do not hear it
What does “Soliloquy” mean?
A character takes a step away from the action and speaks directly to the audience
What does “Split Stage” mean?
The stage is divided into two or more sections, each one representing different areas
