Controlling Flashcards
Nature of Controlling
Christan Bale goes for a walk in Nature and finds remote Control over there.
1. Goal Oriented Function - As soon as he touches the remote, there is a goal and a ball, and the ball goes inside the goal and out comes an orient fan.
2. Pervasive Function - Parvez comes and tries to snatch the controller from him.
3. Both a Backward and Forward Looking Function - Christan presses some button which enables some function and suddenly Parvez is stuck in this loop, where he first takes one step forward, looks straight, and then takes two steps backward.
4. Continous Process - As he contines doing this, he slips of a cliff and falls continously and below is a ready proocession for his funeral.
Importance of Controlling
You are Christan Bale. Christan Bale opens his VIP and out comes a remote control. There are 6 buttons on it.
1. Accomplishing Organisational Goals - First is sun button, and as soon as he presses that football apears in front of him and goal. The remote control turns into a mouth organ and as he plays it, the ball dances and goes to the goal.
2. Judging Accuracy of Standards - Second is a shoe shaped 3D button that is inaccurately made (low-poly). A judge pops out of the remote like a genie. He judges the nearby standing people, and takes accurate mesuarement.
3. Making Efficient Use of Resources - Third button is a mini tree that is growing fishes. When he presses the third button, fish comes out and drinks/uses sauces.
4. Improving Employee Motivation - Fourth is a door shaped button that goes in when you press it. As soon as he presses it, moti comes out of it and the door closes behind. Then she looks around to see no employee is there, so she bangs the door and tells employees to come out. The door breaks and employees come out in large numbers.
5. Ensuring Order and Discipline - All hell breaks lose, and order and discipline is out of order. Moti takes knife and ensures order and discipline.
6. Facilitates Co-Ordination in Action - The employees don’t listen, so they chord and tie fahsi to moti.
Steps of Controlling
Christan Bale chooses a few assistants. He takes 5 steps across the assistants, and uses remote control to check efficiency of choosen assistants.
1. Setting of Performance Standards - He sets standard that everyone has to collect 10 grapes, and make a performance.
2. Measurement of Actual Performance - Everyone does their work and so he measurement of actual performance of the assistants, to see how many grapes have they actually collected.
3. Comparing Actual Performance With Standards - He compares the number of grapes and the type of grapes with his gold standard grapes, and gives each assistant a perfoamnce rating.
4. Analysing Deviations - He then analyzes deviations and nit-picks errors etc.
5. Taking Corrective Action - He then takes corrective action by beating up the first assistant, giving spring shoes and sticks to other assistants to go and collect more and better grapes.
