-Coordinate and manage all active AMD weapons, and surface to air weapons within its sector
Primary Role of Marine Air Traffic Control Companies
The MATC Co’s mission is to provide continuous all-weather radar, non-radar, tower Air Traffic Control (ATC) services, and airspace management.
-Provide non radar towered ATC services
-Can support up to 2 MMT’s
-Maintain the METOC section
Primary role of METOC
Provide wx data for EW, target acquisition, and engagement.
Primary role of Marine wing communication squadron
Provide expeditionary comms for MAGTF ACE
Primary role of LAAD BN
-Provide close in low alt surface to air weapons fires, and when task organized command and control and forces for ground security.
-Utilize stinger, counter UAS weapon system, crew served weapons
Primary role of tactical air control party
-integrate Direct Air Support w/ supporting arms. Located w/ each infantry division, regiment, battalion, company, and LAR
-provide ground commander w/ aviation advisory personnel
-Exercises terminal attack control for CAS
primary role of airborne coordinators
-Strike coordination and recon - acquire, coordinate, and report destruction of targets
-Tactical air coordinator (airborne) - naval aviator who coordinates actions of combat A/C engaged in close support of ground or sea forces
