Q

Why do we find the countries with most population (China and India) along the same lines of latitude?

A

The subtropical climate of these regions allows for crops to grow very well. This security of food means that large populations can grow without facing challenges such as famine.

The subtropical climate also means that these countries receive enough rainfall.

Apart from climate, mineral resources such as Copper, Gold and Silver are also seen as reasons why some countries have larger populations than others. The United States of America is the third most populated country in the world.

This is because it has a large supply of natural minerals. The mining of these minerals has created many job opportunities for people and as a result, people have settled there.
