Overview

A

Fynbos is the major vegetation type of a small region in South Africa known as the Cape Flora Kingdom. It is the smallest and richest area with
the highest known concentration of plant species at 1,300 per 10,000km2.
(TTF = 400 per 10,000km2). Home to +7700 plant species, 70% are endemic. This hotspot was created due to unusual geology and soils, topography and a distinctive fire regime.

 Frequent bush fires
