Major theme
these are the less important ideas found in any story. They may only appear in some parts of the story. This could give more interest in discussing the text read.
Minor theme
this is mostly expressed in a neutral manner. Neutral manner suggests that it doesn’t show any strong feelings about a given topic. An example of this can be seen in texts that state factual details and explanations. This tone sets a text in a formal tone.
Objective tone

this is used in creative writing particularly in writing fictional texts. This tone makes use of describing words that come in the form of figures of speech and word-modifiers wherein it creates a better idea of the speaker’s voice. Since the tone describes the feelings, experiences, and thoughts found in the text, it is inclined toward being personal, emotional, and even informal.
Subjective tone
Differentiate objective and subjective tone
the atmosphere felt through the author’s words. This is what the reader feels during and after reading. This may vary depending on the scenario presented in the text.
